Black Canyon:
Class 3 - 4
May - June
$90 adult $80 child, tax included
This is our most popular trip, beginning near the town of Methow and ending at lake Pateros on the Columbia River. The scenery is spectacular and diverse with mountains, forests, canyon, and desert as we descend over 500 vertical feet in approximately 3 hours.

For most, the highlights of the trip are the many exciting and powerful rapids with names like: THE BLACK HOLE, STAIRCASE, HURRICANE, ROAD SIDE ATTRACTION, SHOSHONE DROP, LITTLE NIAGRA and TACO TIME. The rapids are evenly spaced throughout the trip, beginning almost gently, and crescendo dramatically as we drop into the Black Canyon itself. Big waves, swirling holes, sparkling sunshine, and beautiful wildlife are yours to behold on this classic Northwest river. Truly a classic whitewater rafting run in the state of Washington.

Beginners and experts alike will enjoy this trip.  If you have children under the age of eight, this may not be the trip for you.  Please contact us and we’ll find the best trip for your family.

Gold Creek:
Class 2
April - August
$90 adult $80 child, tax included

This is Osprey River Adventures "family whitewater tour." It is the perfect trip for those wanting fun and excitement with young children or grandparents along. The setting is farmland, orchards, and the beautiful rolling foothills of the eastern Cascades. Towering ponderosa pines and glacially carved rocky crags line the river's edge. Eagles, osprey, deer, coyotes, otter, muskrat and heron are a few of the locals you're likely to meet along the way.

This section of the Methow River is a favorite for kids because of the many fun rapids and swimming holes throughout. We'll give you plenty of time to soak up some rays, take a dip, enjoy your picnic lunch, and skip a few stones.

As the summer progresses and the river level drops, we love to do the Gold Creek trip in our easy to use, sit on top Kayaks. These are instructional trips perfect for beginners or experienced paddlers. The many rapids will entertain you, challenge you, and keep you cool on a hot, summer day.

A trip to the Methow Valley is not complete without spending at least a day on the river.  Feel the heartbeat of the Methow Valley.

Tubing Adventure:
$25/tube
Beat the heat with a relaxing float on the Methow River.  Osprey River Adventures, Inc. will be offering tubing trips on the upper stretch of the Methow River. Trips are generally 1 hour long. Rental fee includes: NRS Tube with floor, life jacket, booties, and shuttle back to point of origin.

We are open to all sorts of needs.  If you would like to take a little longer and have lunch on the river we can accommodate.  If you would like to do a little longer stretch of river please let us know.  Please give us a call and let us know how we can better serve you on the river.  We would prefer to do something out of the norm than have people do it on their own without good safety equipment or vital knowledge.

You haven’t truly experienced the Methow Valley without spending a peaceful day on the river.  Group Discounts are available for groups over 10.

Over the past few years the Methow River has become quite a popular place for river tubing.  If you are planning to tube the river on you own please be safe.  Do not ever attempt a section of river you are not familiar with.  Drinking and tubing are NOT a safe mixture.  A life jacket is an absolute must and children should not be allowed to do this on their own.  Even at the lowest flow the river is very powerful and supervision of children is always a good idea.  If you have any questions we can help you with please call.

River Guide Training
Have you ever imagined yourself steering a raft down an exciting white water river? Have you ever wished your job was outside, exciting, and rewarding?  Every spring we teach a fun filled, information packed river guide course. Whether you aspire to be a professional river guide or just want to learn how to take friends and family down the river, this course is for you. Safety is the name of the game.  Taught by the Osprey guides, you will learn everything from river rescue skills to guiding a paddle raft and rowing a boat by yourself. We won't bore you with long videos or extensive classroom time. Guide training class is six intensive days of hands on learning experience on the river. Call for details: 800-997-4116 or 509-997-4116.  You’ll never look at a river the same way again.  Class fulfills WOGA requirements for whitewater guides in the state of WA. Must be 18 or older to participate in class.

Skagit River:
Class 2 - 3
July - October
$90 adult $80 child, tax included
By mid summer, most rivers in Washington are running low. The Skagit River is the exception.

Flowing from the heart of the North Cascades, a myriad of glaciers are the source of its blue green waters. Floating this mighty river you can feel the pulse of the surrounding North Cascades National Park. Trip highlights include: beautiful waterfalls, lush rainforest of giant cedar, fir and hemlock, active nest sites of our favorite bird, the osprey, spawning salmon by the thousands (see Sept / Oct trips), and consistently pleasant summer weather. Two major and several minor rapids spice up this exquisite tour through nature's own cathedral. An inspiration for all ages.
