The Methow Valley is a destination spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Hikers, bicyclists, rafters, climbers, equestrians, and fishermen flock here in the summer months to enjoy the spoils of the Methow Valley. The Methow Valley is comprised of 5 small cities. Mazama is the highest elevation city in the Methow Valley and is a hot bed of climbing and mountain biking. Winthrop is a western themed town located at the confluence of the Methow River and the Chewuch River. Winthrop has many local artisan shops and restaurants. Twisp is the next city as you head south on HWY 153. Twisp has several great restaurants and is located near the confluence of the Twisp River and the Methow River. Twisp is in the heart of the Methow Valley. Carlton is the next city as you head south. Carlton is located on the Methow River and is located where the river begins to lose elevation more rapidly. This gives us rapids. Methow is the last city in the string of five as you head south towards the Columbia River. Methow is also located quite close to some of the greatest elevation lose which creates the Methow River’s largest rapids. The Methow River is a river that has something for everyone. We are able to provide trips that are geared towards families and we are also able to cater to the thrill seekers looking for an adrenaline rush.
